Easy to install. Connect the cables, call your cable provider to give them your modem info, and then you're connected to the internet.
I like the size, it is smaller than my old Surfboard modem. I hope it lasts as long as my old Surfboard (8 years).
I agree with the reviews that describe the cheap feel of the stand-by button on the top of the modem. Other than that I like the design.

This modem was very simple to install and has worked flawlessly with my Comcast service. It replaced a Linksys modem which was failing, causing my service to drop several times a day. Since installing the Surfboard modem, my service has been 100% reliable. I highly recommend this modem.

I am completely satisfied with the SB5101. Set up and installation was fast and easy. I called the cable company and gave them the MAC ID. And couple minutes later, I was online. If only dealing with the cable company was this easy. This modem is fast.

Motorola Surfboard SB5101 Cable Modem
This is a decent router. Our last router was an older Motorola Surfboard. Because of it's good performance, we decided to upgrade to a modem that supported the high speed comcast had to offer. There have been no drop outs since we installed it. We are very satisfied that this product met our expectations.
