Rating: - not to bad for an older quad core
very overclockable i have 2 of these and they will hit 3.5ghz with ease one hit 5ghz with more voltage then it is suppost to handle but it will handle more voltages then 3.0 very stable cpu im still a core 2 duo fan for games untill they come up with more multi threading games but atlease they are killer at everything else just fine games i didnt loose that much frame rate though over my core 2 duo when i overclocked them to both at 3.0 ghz to test from
Rating: - It just change my point of view
I been looking for months to choose the right components to make my new gaming pc.
After reading every single forum (I used to be an AMD fan) I found out that the right choise would be this Q6600.
Right now, with water cooling, I am running it from 2.4Ghz to 4.0Ghz!
It was the right choise, my new gaming PC is not running, is flying!
Rating: - Great Processor!
Great product! Overclocked to 2.5 Ghz on a XFX 680i SLI LT, idle temperatures for the cores is usually around 44c (CPU Itself is 38 C), at maximum load it's at a max of 57 C. I have the stock fan, and the air flow in my computer is not good, so it's safe to say you can overclock this safely to 2.5 ghz.
Rating: - Very Fast!!!
Very fast cpu. 4 cores so its built for the future since not alot of software can handle four cores right now, I been able to push to 3.52ghz on just air which is not bad of a overclock but it runs so fast on stock you may not need to overclock it. Shipping was fast another good experience with amazon. Thank you again Amazon.
Rating: - Awesome 65nm Cpu
I've had this CPU in a comp that I built for a few weeks, and before that, I had it in a dell. First, this is a freat CPU for overclocking. (make sure you get the G0 stepping version, this will enable you to overclock way beond what you can normally do with other 65nm CPU's) So far, I have overclocked mine to 3.2Ghz and under load the hottest its gotten is about 55C. (i'm using a Scythe mini ninja cooler) So, if you want a lower priced quad core, then this one is great!
