I have a new macbook and was disappointed to find the keyboard was not backlit. I looked around for a lot of lights for it, some that were $30. This is an excellent light, especially for the money (even with the shipping). It lights up most of my keyboard (no problem typing in complete darkness) and does not flop over, like some reportedly do. It also rolls up easily to be put away. It's only one LED, but I find if I aim it so it throws a diagonal beam across the keyboard, I can read almost all the keys. I really only need it to find my home keys anyway.
