It worked for me!
I have a big, old, subwoofer with a grounded AC connection, but it hummed when connected to the low level signal of my receiver. It is a long (30') cable run.
My other, smaller, ungrounded, sub worked fine, but I wanted to use the big unit - this is my main home theater installation.

I purchased this to fix a hum in my MFW-15 sub woofer (av123). It completely removed the hum and I'm able to turn up the gain to 100% with no issue. Good build quality and worth every penny.
