Out of my massive library of games, I find myself coming back to this one, time and again. Why? I think it's because everything about Halo is just right: you have a clean story (cadging from multiple science-fiction staples), engaging--if simple--characters, and a gameplay that is both balanced and somewhat open. As time goes by, the only problem I've encountered is, ironically, with Microsoft Windows Vista: at random points in the game, my framerates drop to single digits with no apparent cause ... Read More

Halo Combat Evolved for the computer packs loads of new features. Easy to learn online play, custom and modded maps, the ability to play user-created maps with www.halomaps.org, create your own maps with the HEK (Halo Editing Kit), and all are free to download. The online play is free, and the single player campaign is very fun. I highly recommend.

My sons really love this game. When we received it we had some trouble getting it loaded properly. I had to search for the correct or updated drivers to make this work.

its just halo from the original xbox, simple, fun, competitive. the online works great
only thing bad is its an old game but thats not really a factor for me
