Rating:  - Works Great On A Mac
Just add (included) batteries to track mouse, plug in the USB on the transmitter and you're in business. CD is for PCs and may add features not available and not needed, for me at least, on a Mac. Left and right buttons take getting used to as others have mentioned. Scroll wheel works.
I bought it as a remote for watching video from across the room. It is perfect for that and serves as well as any trackball I've used for computing.

I had this ordered for me to replace my standard issue mouse when I couldn't find the older model thumb controlled track ball through my office's suppliers. I used it for about a week, and then had it shipped back. It caused severe hand pain and cramps if I used it for more than a half hour or so. Love it. I looked all over and this was the best deal I found. This is just what I wanted as I don't like using a mouse and it is wireless

On other wireless devices there is true wireless, just a small receiver protruding from the USB slot. I love the trackman. I had no trouble getting used to the trackball. But I hate the wire to the receiver. I might as well stay with the wired option, at least then I only had one thing to hang on to when I moved. If they ever get to a reasonable reciver you will never get me away from it. In the meantime back to the old trackball.

I bought the cordless trackman a year ago. Top shelf! Talk about user friendly! Put battery in trackman, plug in the little antenna which lays on the floor and use. It's that simple. A monkey with a banana could use this thing. I use it with my laptop while watching TV in the livingroom. The trackman sits on either my arm rest or little table next to me.
I use a wired trackman on three other computers and they have been working flawlessly for over two years.
