To anyone out there with a TiVo HD, TiVo Series 3, or TiVo HD XL DVR and you want to add extra recording hours/capacity to your DVR, then I HIGHLY recommend that you purchase this Western Digital My DVR Expander.

Rating: - Works Great, No Problems
I purchased this product last August and it installed on my Tivo HD without any problems. Immediately my storage was extended for HD recordings. My Tivo's Hard Drive had to be replaced and I purchased a replacement from Weakee's and installed it today. I was kind of worried if I would have any problem reinstalling the storage unit to work with my new drive. Excellent product...easy to use, and easy to setup. I did not want to mess with upgrading my internal drive, so this was the best option for me. Also, with the recent price drop of these drives, this decision was a no-brainer.
Rating: - Compatibility a problem
If you have Cox cable, ONLY the Scientific Atlanta 8300 DVR box will work. No other. Unfortunately, it isn't easy to exchange boxes. Cox is always running out.

It is nice to have the expanded storage, but the installation took several attempts. We've had it hooked up for about a week now, and no other problems have surfaced.
