It is very poor quality video and poor compression rate. I just wasted money and time. Never buy again.

I purchased the OneTouch capture device in order to convert 8mm tapes over to DVD. The OneTouch device functioned fine. I was able to convert my vido tapes into a digital format. The ULead software, that came with the OneTouch, however did not function as advertised. It worked intermittently burning DVD's or and was unable to save to my computer into a DVD (ASCI) format to be burned by other software later. Rating: - What I expected
I had read the mixed Amazon reviews before, so I got what I expected: for a price that's not too high, I am able to transfer footage from my analog camera to my computer. User interface is decent. Quality is not great, as some had warned, but I'm not sure that can be avoided; I've used $2000 equipment before and I still lost a lot of quality digitizing footage.

I didn't have any problems moving over a VHS to DVD. Worked as advertised. Very happy with this purchase.

Diamond VC500 One Touch Video Capture Device
I know nothing about electronics, so I was not sure if this would work for me or even if this was what I needed. It was great!!! So easy to use and I was able to load all my home VHS videos into my computer then copy them to DVD's. I would recommend this item.
