I think this external hard drive is great. There's been some comments that it makes noise but i didn't hear any type of noise. It's easy to setup. Just plug it in and you're good to go. It's worth the price. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a decent external hard drive.
Rating:  - Nice, Quiet, Lots of Space
I read the other reviews before buying, and I got one of the quiet ones. Just remember to reformat it to NTFS before trying to copy things over, especially large files.

Popped it out of the box, encrypted the drive and dumped all my data on it.
During this process the device was completely silent and was warm to the touch... Not hot.
I don't regret purchasing this HD and would recommend it to anyone looking for a 500 GB HD.

I needed to get more storage for my old desktop and was so confused on what to get or even how to use one.
I bought this after reading the customer reviews and have found it to be the perfect external hard drive for anyone to use.
I just plugged it in to the wall, then connected the USB to the computer and it was ready to be used. Can't be any easier than that.
