Rating: - Unimpressive quality
The unit I bought failed just out of warranty. Unimpressive reliability for something with no moving parts. Also the two outlets for battery backup are not far enough apart to accommodate any two plugs. The unit did work for the occasional power outage, but for the price I'm looking for higher quality this time around.

This was great for the price.
I've used this model for 3 years and it's done it's job well. It's saved my butt during power outages and random blackouts many times. If I didn't have this thing my computer would of turned off and I would have lost hours of valuable work, (1-2 second power outages are very common in Central, FL)

Rating: - Small Unit for Small Backup Needs
This battery backup is small, light and has a lot of value for the money. It is the least expensive battery back-up I have seen from a big name in power proection, APC and is ideal for smaller items that draw ver low power, such as cell phones, mice, perhaps routers or cable modems.
Pros:
- Great price and value for only around $40
- Small size, fits anywhere
- Has phone line protection (including use with DSL)
- Has 6' power cord
- Includes $50,000 lifetime ... Read More

Stopped working after 4 months and impossible to throw away / finding battery disposal is a pain in the you know what .
The majority of the weight for this thing is the lead acid backup battery, and after 4 months it started beeping to advise the house power was dead (IT WASN'T) then stopped working as a UPS.
Unplug to reset and it would work for a few minutes, or maybe a few minutes than start to beep again before shutting down when there was nothing with the power.

Rating: - lousy product
Our surge protector died one month and one week after we purchased it--one week over the time given to return it. Now we have to buy a new one after already wasting money on this one. Thanks for nothing. Best Buy, here I come.
