Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Scanner is great, software ain't
The scanner works as advertisied. I'm scanning 20 years of family photos from various 35MM sources (slides, negatives, simple cameras and SLRs). I bought this model rather than the SE to get the included silverfast software. My advise now and what I did was to scrap the silverfast software and buy vuescan. Much better software package for what I'm doing. Installing the drivers only from the silverfast disk requires some thinking but it's not difficult. The one step buttons are disabled but ... Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Plustek Opticfilm 7200
I copied over 2500 slides with the equipment and it worked great. It paid for itself the first day. Friends are using it for their slides. Good investment.

Rating: 2 out of 5 stars - Outdated software No custmer service
I purchased this scanner in December 2007 expecting that it would include the current release of SilverFast Ai scanning software. When I got the scanner, I found that scanning color negatives was unsatisfactory because of excessive color cast. I went to the Silverfast website to see if the problem was corrected and discovered that the version of Silverfast included in with the scanner had been replaced with a major upgrade in December 2006, a full year before I purchased my scanner. Silverfast advised ... Read More

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - I am happy ...
I am happy with what I am getting from the 35mm Slide Scans. The two types of software need to be updated. I want to let everyone know you may not be able to have your flatbed scanner or camera connected to the computer when you use this product. Trial and error and tech support .. Otherwise for the price I am getting wonderful 35mm Slide scans from this product.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Plustek 7200i
The scanner was easy to install and seems to be working OK after downloading the newest driver. The color for both film strips and slides is not as good as the same pictures scanned with my HP Scajet G4050 when compared to Prints I have from the same film strp or slides. Working with LaserSoft they think the scanner needs to be calibrated but I don't have the target to acomplish this. Hopefully this will resolve the problem so batch copying will work as it should.
