Rating: - not as advertised, only burns up to 4x...
when i received my shipment not only did it have small variations in pakaging, but it only burns 4x not at the advertised 16x, as described on the packaging and on the actual disk itself, when i put the disk in the only options im offered are 2.4x and 4x.. the first 4 i tried did burn so im not sure how many will turn out coasters. i thought i was getting a good after christmas deal, now i realize they were on sale because someone was trying to get rid of an overstock of 4x at no marginal loss. i ... Rating: - Not Always Reliable
I have bought these a number of times, but this last batch are mostly coasters. The extreme outside edge has a smattering of "sparkles" that seem to not want to enable burning on the last 10 percent of the disc. I will most likely NOT buy these again, due to the pile of discs in my trash. Previous orders have been excellent, but I will not chance another wasted order.
Rating: - TDK no longer makes DVDs
I just wanted to tell people that after using TDK CDs and DVDs exclusively for many years with 100% reliability in Sony, Phillips and NEC DVD burners, the newest batch of TDKs I received was extremely disappointing. The new disks look completely different, the scratch resistant "label" side has been eliminated, and the blue dye used on the data side is darker than usual.

I have used these DVD+R blanks for 2 weeks now and so far all blanks have recorded my projects without any problems or deffective disks.
100 discs is a lot to go through - I hope all disks are of the same good quality by the end of the spindle! I am really pleased and truly recommend this brand. A really great item for the price. Thank you again Amazon!

I have been using this brand for years, and have made very few coasters. It is very reliable, and burns at max speed.
